I don't think it will be the end of the experiment until we sign another right back.
Saying that, I think Burke has a decent footballing brain and capable of filling in for Bryam if need be. I would be more comfortable with him there than Antonio anyway.

The worrying thing is that I don't see last night's substitution as Bilic calling it quits on "the experiment".
I think he felt that Antonio would be too emotionally charged to continue , especially after kicking the ball away. Not that you'd bblame him.
Everyone has an ego, Slaven include. Will he admit defeat already? I'm not so sure.

I'd suspect that last night will be the last time that we'll see Antonio starting at right-back.
Getting subbed-off almost immediately after giving away a penalty should be a big indicator here.
Why Bilic persevered with Antonio at right-back for so long, I don't know.
Bilic has got most things spot-on since becoming our manager but this experiment is downright bizarre and last night he unfortunately got everything wrong from the starting line-up to the substitutions made.

Antonio was subbed within minutes of giving away the penalty, if Bilic wanted to
Spare him from further embarrassment ok, he would have done what he normally
does and put his arm around him when he came off, or he could have taken off
Valencia brought on Byron, and moved Antonio forward, unfortunately Bilic
did neither, I see a few problems there, and that problem is Bilic’s stubbornness.

There are certain decisions which every manager makes which completely baffle and send fans around the bend.
Antonio at right-back is something which Bilic needs to forget about...It is really stupid...a bit like playing Andy Impey at right back...cheers for that one too Harry...

Haha... Thank god.
Thought we'd lost you as well.
Agreed though... Antonio is a great attacking threat and also decent helping out defensively when playing further up the pitch.
But lacks the brain to be a defender. Disaster waiting to happen as has been proven o numerous occasions.

Hopefully that's the end of the experiment. Valencia makes too many wrong decisions for a defender, but is a real threat in the top half.
